Our philosophy
With a home away from home approach, our goal is to create strong bonds within a reduced group of children and their families. Being able to listen, guide and support parents in the first few years of their child’s life is something that is at the forefront of our ethos.
As parents ourselves, we understand the weight of the responsibility gifted to us when parents place their children under our care, and make it our priority to give the highest level of safe keeping and love whilst your little one is with us. We offer compassionate accompaniment throughout the settling-in process and aim to respect the transition from home to nursery in a gentle and calm way.
Our reduced ratio and small group helps contribute to a calm and relaxed learning environment, where individual needs are met in a respectful way.
We believe that by fostering close relationships with our families, our Tribe will offer community and relief to parents who may feel the weight of being far from family and friends. We aim for our families to feel a true sense of belonging and help forge lifelong connections with other parents.
Our Tribe learns by playing and exploring, being active, getting messy both through creative and critical thinking which takes place both indoors and outside. We are lucky to have access to a big outdoor space daily and are conveniently located near the beach and different parks for fun excursions. We operate a no screen philosophy as we believe our little ones learn best through their senses.
To ensure the children receive a broad range of experiences we welcome specialist teachers including Music, Dance and Yoga who visit us regularly.
We work closely with a team of Early Years specialists including a Paediatrician, nutritionist and psychologist who help us support various aspect of child development, breastfeeding and weaning advice and special needs education.

How will my child be learning at Little Tribe?
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), the British statutory framework that sets the standards for Learning, Development and Care for children aged 0 to 5 years old. The EYFS curriculum allows for a wonderfully broad range of knowledge and skills that support positive progress through school and life.
Our goal is to provide a happy, active, engaging, fun and secure environment, whilst supporting their development, care and learning needs with love!
Your child will be learning new skills, acquiring knowledge and demonstrating their understanding through the 7 areas of learning and development. The prime areas are those most essential for your child’s healthy development and future learning. As children grow, the prime areas will help them to develop skills in 4 specific areas.
Prime Areas
Communication and Language
Physical Development
Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
Specific Areas
Literacy
Mathematics
Expressive Arts and Design
Understanding the World
These 7 areas are used to plan your child’s learning and activities. Your child’s teacher will make sure that the activities are tailored to your child’s unique and flexible needs. We thrive to closely follow the individual needs and interests of each and every one of us.
