A day with us
Our doors open at 9 am and straight away we´re ready to jump into fun activities set out by our teachers. Depending on the theme we are exploring that week our little learners will be able to engage in a range of sensorial discovery, small world play and construction games or quietly explore our book nook.
By the time we’ve tidied the classroom, washed our hands and helped prepare our morning snack it’s already 10 am and we’re now ready to start our main activity after finishing eating. Painting, puzzles, exploring the garden, going to the beach, we’ve got lots to do! Meanwhile our littlest learners drink their bottles and take a small nap before exploring their classroom and stimulating toys.
We believe that children learn best through a sense of responsibility and for this reason we put a big emphasis on mealtimes and helping out in all group tasks. For lunch at 11:45 am, a group of us get the table set whilst the others prepare our special tools to serve the food ourselves! We are encouraged to try everything on offer, and our delicious menu provides lots of opportunities to try fresh, colourful and tasty food!
It’s hard work digesting a lovely lunch after a busy morning of play, so by 12:45 pm our nappies are changed, teeth brushed and ready for bed. Our teacher reads a story whilst we snuggle up to our naptime buddy, a special stuffed animal that stays at school. The lights turn off and white noise fills the room to encourage restful sleep. Some of us may need some extra support to fall asleep but soon we will feel confident to get some well-deserved rest and more importantly get some energy for the afternoon!
By 3 pm, most of us are awake and ready to start the second part of the day. Children help to make and serve the afternoon snack outside and a final activity for the day is offered. Some days, we may do some arts and crafts, dance around to work on our gross motor skills, or simply enjoy some calm story telling.
Mums and Dads pick us up at 5 pm.
See you tomorrow!
